Netflix Announces Octavia Spencer's Madam C.J. Walker Limited Series

Octavia Spencer as Madame C.J. Walker. Sounds good don't it? Thanks to Netflix that cinematic fantasy will soon be a reality, as the streaming giant has officially announced the actress' limited series about the life of the iconic hair care mogul.

The show, produced by Lebron James, will delve into "the untold and highly irreverent story of black hair care pioneer and mogual Madam C.J. Walker and how she overcame hostile turn-of-the-century America, epic rivalries, tumultuous marriages and some trifling family to become America's first black, self-made female millionaire."

Claws'  Janine Sherman Barrois and Elle Johnson have signed on as co-showrunners. Hmm, trifling family, rivalries, black excellence and one of the brains behind Claws? I'm already laid out in front the laptop, smackin' on Pop Secret.
