Say what you want about Rihanna, but that girl sure is productive. Ri-Ri's new song "We Found Love" debuted on radio today. The song, produced by Calvin Harris, has the same euphoric, throw-your-hands-up feel as her last album Loud, which has barely been out a year.
While the tune is catchy and undeniably danceable--expect to see it performed at a drag show near you soon--it didn't quite smack me upside the head the way "Rude Boy," "SOS," "Umbrella," or "Hard" did when I first heard them. Perhaps it's too soon? Or maybe because it sounds a little too close to what Rihanna's been doing lately. But she does get rainbow points for channeling early Madge in the cover art for the single. As always, visual proof below.
Personally I'd like to her switch things up a bit a get a little dark/edgy (minus the traumatic domestic violence of course) but this song will probably be a hit since her career is so hot right now. Listen below.
