WATCH: Anti-Homophobia PSA In Jamaica

A new anti-homophobia campaign called "Unconditional Love" has recently launched in Jamaica. Featuring former Miss Jamaica World and Miss Jamaica Universe Christine Straw and her openly gay brother Matthew Straw, the campaign is welcome news from a country that is often in the headlines for anti-gay violence.

"As Jamaicans we have to stop this stupidity of alienating our [people] because of their orientation," says the beauty queen. "They are our brothers and our sisters and we must love them, no matter what ... because they need support and encouragement."

According to Rod 2.0, "The campaign was co-sponsored by the Jamaica Forum of Lesbians, All-Sexuals and Gays (J-FLAG), Jamaica AIDS Support For Life  and Caribbean Vulnerable Communities Coalition. It is believed to be the first anti-homophobia television PSA in Jamaica."
