Last night, Nightline air an in-depth, five part special about transgender people and the issues they face. Some of the faces are familiar, like 5-year-old Dyson, whose love of wearing dresses inspired his mother to write the book Princess Boy. Other stories--like Kim Petras, an aspiring pop star who became the youngest person in the world to transition at age 16, and Vanessa, who has taken to sex work in order to pay for surgical procedures--are new.
