I started out today thinking I would write some long, complex, deep post about how Barack Obama fits into Dr. King's dream of a multi-cultural, united word free from bigotry, but how the ills King sought to fight during his lifetime--racism, poverty, injustice--continue to occur in America today.
I'm convinced that if he were alive today, Dr. King, like Coretta, would be an advocate of LGBT rights, if not on a religious ground, then at least from a civil, legal viewpoint. However, instead of me babbling on, I think it would better to play speeches from Obama and King and let you decide how far we've come and how far we've yet to go.
